Over 1,400,000 Russian Troops Lost Since War Began: Ukraine Reports 1,200 Casualties in a Single Day.
Russian Military Losses on the Rise
According to UATV: In just the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s defense forces eliminated 1,200 Russian invaders, along with 57 artillery systems, nine tanks, and five air defense units. These figures highlight the heavy toll ongoing combat is taking on Russian troops. Since the full-scale invasion began on February 24, 2022, through July 7, 2026, total Russian combat losses have reached an estimated 1,412,250 personnel.
Over the same period, Ukrainian forces have also destroyed more than 2,000 enemy drones. The overall count of tanks eliminated since the conflict started now stands at 12,097. Additional destroyed equipment includes:
- 24,899 armored fighting vehicles
- 45,508 artillery systems
- 1,917 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)
- 1,478 air defense systems
Other significant Russian losses comprise 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, and 1,848 ground robotic systems. Furthermore, Ukrainian forces have recorded the destruction of:
- 394,846 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles
- 4,887 cruise missiles
- 33 naval vessels and boats
- two submarines
In total, 117,085 vehicles and fuel tankers, as well as 4,394 pieces of specialized equipment, have been destroyed. These numbers underscore the severity of the military situation and the massive scale of losses suffered by the Russian army.
Conflict Duration and Impact
The staggering loss of personnel and equipment reflects the prolonged and intense nature of a war now in its fourth year. It also demonstrates Ukraine’s ongoing efforts to defend its territorial integrity and counter Russian aggression. Cooperation between Ukrainian forces and international partners remains crucial for continued support in defense and national recovery.
