According to ТСН: Nazar, the son of Tetiana Sakiian, who was a victim of a Russian strike in Kyiv during her eighth month of pregnancy, is discharged from the perinatal center after a three-month stay in the hospital.

Alla Melnychuk, the head of the charity organization "Mama and Infant," which helps the boy's family, reported that the baby underwent four brain surgeries. He has been fitted with a shunt system, which will allow him the opportunity for full development.

Return Home

Nazar is picked up from the hospital by his aunt, the father’s sister, and they head to Ivano-Frankivsk, where the woman lives. The boy's father, 29-year-old Vadym, also sustained injuries during the Russian attack and was hospitalized for a long time. Tetiana Sakiian, the child's mother, died at the end of September after a two-week struggle for life following a Russian kamikaze drone attack on her apartment.

Legal Matters

Vadym is currently seeking legal recognition of his paternity, as his marriage to Tetiana was not registered at the time of their son's birth.

Let us remind you that on September 7, a Russian drone struck a multi-story building in the Sviatoshyn district of Kyiv, resulting in Tetiana and her common-law husband Vadym suffering 80% burns to their bodies.

During an emergency caesarean section, the boy was named Nazar, which his mother had dreamed of. However, unfortunately, they could not save the woman – two weeks later she died in the hospital. Vadym's sister, Oksana Bohdan, said that after a difficult delivery and stress, Nazar suffered a brain hemorrhage and remained in critical condition for a long time.

This tragic story highlights the consequences of the violence brought by military actions in Ukraine. Despite the horrific losses, the family's efforts to find support in each other and create a new life for Nazar is impressive. The issue of legal recognition of paternity will become an important stage in Vadym and his son's life, helping to restore family bonds and give Nazar a chance for a better future.
