Recognition of Ukrainian Service Members
According to Novyny.live: During a working visit to the Southern operational zone, Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, presented awards to Ukrainian soldiers. This event unfolded amid intense fighting: between March 17 and 20, 2023, Russian occupiers launched 619 assaults, concentrating their main efforts on the Pokrovsk and Oleksandrivka directions. To provide context, the Southern zone remains a critical area of active hostilities, where Ukrainian forces have been fiercely defending against repeated enemy offensives.
Among those honored were personnel from the 1st and 225th separate assault regiments, as well as the 82nd and 95th separate air assault brigades. Syrskyi highlighted the importance of each soldier's personal contribution, stating:
“Ukraine’s strength, the strength of our army, lies in its people. Every warrior within their unit. Our service members defend Ukrainian soil day and night, stopping and destroying Russian occupiers.” - Oleksandr Syrskyi

The recipients were granted the following distinctions:
- Steel Cross
