In Kupiansk, hundreds of Russian soldiers were cleared: where they were hiding.
According to ТСН: The final stage of clearing the territory after active hostilities is ongoing in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region. It is known that a significant number of Russian soldiers were found hiding in basements and utility rooms of private houses in the city.
According to a military observer, some local residents collaborated with the occupiers by hiding them. However, among the majority of civilians remaining in the city (approximately 1500 people), pro-Ukrainian sentiments prevail.
Situation at the Front
Meanwhile, in the so-called 'gray zone' to the north of Kindrashivka and near Golubivka, the enemy continues active actions, trying to carry out assaults. Although these attempts have so far been unsuccessful, they indicate the enemy's desire to regain lost positions.
The observer notes that Russian forces are trying to recover after a significant defeat in the Kupiansk area. The retention of the city by Ukrainian forces is of not only tactical but also strategic importance, as its loss could give the enemy the opportunity to advance 40–50 kilometers deep into the territory.
The additional rerouting of enemy units to this direction indicates that Russia is not abandoning its plans. New massive assaults and further hostilities are expected in the outskirts of Kupiansk.
Earlier, the head of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the situation in the Kupiansk area:
'Thanks to active search and strike actions, we managed to push the occupiers away from Kupiansk and take control of almost 90 percent of the territory of the city.'
The situation in Kupiansk remains tense, as the city continues to be an important strategic hub. Clearing the territory of the enemy is crucial not only for the safety of local residents but also for the further development of military actions in the region. At the same time, the preparation for possible new attacks indicates the need to support Ukrainian troops in this critical phase of the conflict.
