The situation at the border is escalating: border guards named new hot spots.
Russian occupiers intensified assault actions near the border with Ukraine
In the area of responsibility of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in Sumy, Kharkiv, and towards Kramatorsk, the situation is the most difficult. According to Spokesman Andriy Demchenko, the enemy attacks the positions of Ukrainian border guards daily in order to dislodge them from their occupied positions, but thanks to the resilience and bravery of the defenders, this has been avoided for now.
Russian occupiers in Sumy and Kharkiv regions have intensified attempts to storm border units and are also actively shelling the Sumy region. Fighting is taking place in Basyivka and Zhuravka in Sumy, where the enemy is trying to expand the area of military operations on the territory of Ukraine. In the Kharkiv region, the most intense clashes are occurring in the area of Vovchansk and in the Kupiansk direction.
According to the spokesman, thanks to the resilience of Ukrainian border guards and military personnel, it has been possible to prevent or restrain the enemy's advance on both the border with Russia and the front line. Infantry, together with artillery and unmanned aerial vehicle operators, destroys dozens to hundreds of enemies, preventing them from achieving their set goals.
