According to ТСН: The Ukrainian military continues its assault in Kupiansk, Kharkiv region and its surroundings. The Armed Forces have advanced into the city center, where the area is being cleared.

Progress of Ukrainian units is also noted in the southeast of Petropavlivka.

Control over the Yubileyny microdistrict

Journalist and fighter of the 'Chartia' brigade Yurii Butusov noted that the Ukrainian forces fully control the Yubileyny microdistrict in the southwest of Kupiansk. According to him, this loss of territory will complicate the Russian occupiers' ability to maintain any positions in the southern part of Kupiansk.

Presence of Russian sabotage groups

Geolocation footage published on December 12 and 13 indicates that Russian sabotage groups still remain in the northern and western parts of the city, analysts point out.

It should be noted that on December 12, DeepState analysts reported that the Defense Forces cleared Kupiansk: the city has returned under the full control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. According to experts, 200 Russian servicemen were left encircled.

After that, President Volodymyr Zelensky recorded a video address from Kupiansk against the backdrop of the Kremlin's statements about the 'capture' of the city by the occupiers.
