The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) expressed serious concern regarding law No. 12414, which limits the independence of NABU and SAP. In a letter dated July 22, Deputy Head of the President's Office Iryna Mudra warned Kyiv about potential negative consequences and urged the government to take measures to address the 'crisis'.Head of the Anti-Corruption Division of the OECD Julia Fromholz expressed deep concern in the letter and called on the Ukrainian government to reconsider its decision regarding NABU and SAP. She emphasized that this law could harm investments, financing for reconstruction, and the country's European integration. It is submitted that such actions could become an obstacle to Ukraine's accession to the OECD and undermine the country's authority among international partners. In this regard, Ukrainian lawmakers are also preparing a submission to the Constitutional Court to repeal law No. 12414.Such actions by the Ukrainian government could significantly complicate international cooperation and international investment in Ukraine, which threatens not only the country's development but also its integration into European and global structures.
