They chant 'shame' — Tymoshenko's speech in the Rada outraged the protesters.
People's Deputy Yulia Tymoshenko spoke in the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday, July 31. She supported the protesters but noted that they do not understand what NABU and SAP are. This was reported by Novyny.LIVE.
According to the deputy, she 'fully and completely' supports the people who took to the streets. 'But they came out not knowing what NABU and SAP are, they came out fighting against the fight against corruption. They came out for corruption in the country to stop, they came out against the lawlessness that has bothered them,' said Tymoshenko.
The participants of the rally were outraged by Tymoshenko's speech, and they began to chant 'Shame' and 'Yulia go away' on the streets. Let us remind you that today the Verkhovna Rada is considering a law on the return of independence to NABU and SAP. People's Deputy from the 'Servant of the People' party, Dmytro Kostiuk, stated that he wants to leave the faction due to the previous vote to deprive NABU and SAP of independence. In addition, clashes occurred in the meeting hall between deputies of the 'Servant of the People' faction Vladlen Neklyudov and Kostiantyn Kasai.
Yulia Tymoshenko's speech highlighted the turbulent atmosphere in the Verkhovna Rada, where a heated dispute arose among the deputies. The protesters expressed their dissatisfaction and outrage in response to the words of the political leader. The confrontation in parliament pushed the people's representatives to decisive actions and created unease in the country's political process.
