The sculptor and serviceman died after leaving his unit in Odesa
25-year-old sculptor and serviceman Taras Shevchenko died after he left his unit in Odesa without permission. He had been trying to get necessary treatment for several months. This was reported by Glavkom, citing hromadske.
The man died on the birthday of Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, on March 9. It turned out that the serviceman was developing a cervical hernia and had circulatory disorders in the brain. The military unit sent him to a psychiatric hospital, but he was not discharged from service for these reasons.
Then the sculptor decided to leave the unit voluntarily and seek treatment, but his condition did not improve. His parents helped him rent an apartment in Odesa to avoid detention during the Special Operations Forces. His mother also assisted him in undergoing necessary medical examinations, but on March 9, when Taras was waiting for her, he died from another panic attack.
While waiting for the ambulance... The body couldn’t withstand it. The doctors said it was instantaneous death. - says the father of the serviceman.

Taras Shevchenko graduated from the Odesa Art College named after Grekov. At the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he went to defend Ukraine along with his father Oleksandr. In civilian life, Taras worked at the Tuzlivski Lyman National Nature Park.
