Democrats refuse to condemn violence against Tesla

Silence of the Democrats

Democrats once again remained silent about violence and vandalism against Tesla vehicles and dealerships. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi refused to condemn the violence against Tesla during a press conference at the Capitol.

Silence of the Democrats

Only a few Democrats have unequivocally condemned the attacks on Tesla showrooms, charging stations, and vehicles, even as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) created a task force to combat crimes against Tesla, the Justice Department filed charges against suspects for arson, and Attorney General Pam Bondi referred to these attacks as 'domestic terrorism'—a problem Democrats have been grappling with for years.

Silence of Democratic Leaders

Democratic leaders Jeffries and Pelosi refused to answer questions from Fox News Digital regarding the violence against Tesla, and the silence of Democrats regarding 'domestic terrorism' against Tesla is growing louder by the day.

Refusal of the Leaders

Jeffries declined to answer questions about condemning the violence when his staff escorted him into the Capitol, for which he was ridiculed by one of the staff members. Pelosi dismissed a question about her opinion on the situation with a polite hand gesture, informing Fox News Digital that she was running late. However, both Democratic leaders have always rejected the notion of 'domestic terrorism'—but not this Time.

Fabricated Promises

'We must act urgently to end the poison of white supremacy and domestic terrorism in America. It is poison, it is cancer, it is destroying our society. This should not be a partisan issue. It is not a question for Democrats or Republicans when we face the crisis of violent white supremacy. It is an American issue,' Jeffries stated in 2022.

Fabricated Promises

Pelosi in 2018 thanked her Democratic colleagues for 'refusing to accept the inaction of the Republican Party in investigating domestic terrorism.' Pelosi has yet to condemn Democratic representatives who have not condemned domestic terrorism against Tesla.

Refusal of the Democrats

Jeffries and Pelosi are not the first Democrats to fail to respond to questions from Fox News Digital regarding attacks against Tesla. Fox News Digital asked 13 Democrats, sponsors of bills to combat domestic terrorism, whether they consider the attacks 'domestic terrorism' and if the government should focus efforts on apprehending those attacking Tesla. None of the representatives responded.

Response from Maxine Waters

Following the publication of this story, Representative Maxine Waters responded, suggesting that President Donald Trump should serve a prison sentence for his crimes, after the president last week proposed a 20-year prison sentence for 'people caught sabotaging Tesla,' including their 'funders.'

Response from Maxine Waters

'People who break the law and have 34 convictions should serve prison time. Moreover, convicted criminals who participated in the January 6 uprising should not be pardoned by the president,' Waters told Fox News Digital.

Accusations of Funding

Waters did not demand an investigation into the funding of the subsequent riots against Tesla, with many conservatives blaming liberal activist groups. Recently, Musk accused left-wing billionaires George Soros, a mega-donor of Democrats, and LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman and others, claiming they fund destructive 'protests.'

Call for Investigation

However, Waters in 2022 called for an investigation into the funding of domestic extremist activities. 'We are seriously concerned about the funding of activities of domestic violent extremism in the U.S.,' Waters and her Democratic colleagues stated in 2022.

Response from Rosa DeLauro

However, Rosa DeLauro stated that the violence must stop when she was asked about the series of attacks on Tesla.

Call from Ro Khanna

'There is no tolerance for acts of vandalism against Tesla. Writing 'Nazi cars' or setting fire to dealerships and charging stations is wrong. All Democrats should speak out against this,' he said in his post on X this month.

Response from Bernie Sanders

When asked by Fox News Digital last week if the attacks on Tesla constitute domestic terrorism, Senator Bernie Sanders noted that everyone has the right to protest, but no one has the right to violence.

Attacks on Tesla

Having gained attention since the beginning of the year, illegal attacks on Tesla occurred in at least 10 locations—from Oregon to Massachusetts. What initially started as protests against Elon Musk and his Department of State Efficiency (DOGE) escalated into violent events against the Trump ally company, including shooting at buildings, shattered windows of the dealership, and arson of charging stations.

Criminal Activities

Although there have been no reports of severe injuries, the FBI found an anti-Molotov cocktail cursor on a website against Musk, registered on March 17. It featured an interactive map listing names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of Tesla owners, charging stations, Tesla dealerships, and addresses of individuals related to DOGE.
