Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal expressed his satisfaction with his new position and outlined the main directions of his work. He emphasized the importance of providing the military with quality resources, developing domestic weapons, and addressing issues as quickly and flexibly as possible.
'New position. The same mission — to serve for the benefit of Ukraine. Now as Minister of Defense. Thank you to President Volodymyr Zelensky for the trust. It is a great honor and responsibility to lead the Ministry of Defense in these difficult times,'— Shmyhal emphasized.
In his speech before the Verkhovna Rada, he stated the importance of building a peaceful future through strengthening defense capabilities and cooperating with international partners. It should be noted that Shmyhal took office after Yuliya Svyrydenko became the new Prime Minister of Ukraine, and President Zelensky announced personnel changes in the government.
