NATO is not ready for a prolonged war: what the British Vice Admiral stated.
According to ТСН: NATO's armed forces still lack the resilience necessary for conducting a prolonged war. Western military forces need to be prepared for more complex conditions on the battlefield, which may include both cyber threats and conventional military operations.
This was stated by Vice Admiral Mike Utley of the Royal Navy of Great Britain, who leads NATO’s Allied Maritime Command.
"NATO has an advantage over Russia in capabilities, but the Alliance may not necessarily be able to sustain these capabilities over a prolonged period of continuous combat operations," he believes.
NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte also noted that Moscow may be ready to use military force against the Alliance within the next five years. In his opinion, NATO must prepare for the scale of war that previous generations of Europeans experienced.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has assured that his country does not plan to attack NATO.
These statements create a troubling security picture in Europe, as despite emphasizing NATO's advantages, the issue of resilience in the event of a prolonged conflict remains open. The realities of modern warfare require Alliance forces to constantly adapt and be ready to face unpredictable challenges.
