Ukrainian singer Sofia Rotaru shared a photo on Instagram at the grave of her late husband Anatoliy Evdokimenko. The photo shows that Rotaru visited the grave and honored the memory of her husband, who died 22 years ago.

The only one

The singer expressed her feelings with a red heart emoji and noted the current date. It is indicated that the inscription on the grave is also written in Ukrainian. It is not yet known whether this is a recent photo or if Rotaru is actually in Kyiv.

This is not the first Time the singer has shared a photo at her husband's grave. She already published such a photo in 2023, but in different clothes.

Anatoliy Evdokimenko – a great musician

Anatoliy Evdokimenko was a well-known Ukrainian musician and head of the ensemble 'Chervona Ruta'. He worked with Sofia Rotaru since 1971 and was a renowned artistic director and concert program director. He was also a soloist at the Crimean Philharmonic from 1977 to 2002. Experts believe that Evdokimenko was killed by a series of strokes that started a few months before his death.

Rotaru and Evdokimenko married in 1968 and lived together for more than 30 years until Evdokimenko's death in 2002. They have a son, Ruslan, who is now 54 years old. After her husband's death, Sofia Rotaru did not remarry.

It was reported that Sofia Rotaru's sister Aurika and other family members remain in Ukraine throughout the war. In an interview, Aurika shared what is happening in her sister's life. In 2023, Sofia Rotaru's son and grandson, Ruslan and Anatoliy Evdokimenko, were detained at the border with Moldova, but further details of their whereabouts remain unknown.
