Satellite images after the attack on air bases in Russia

Educational analyst Chris Biggers published the first images taken from satellites after the SBU's attack on Russian military air bases on June 1. According to his data, several aircraft were damaged as a result of the attack, including the Tu-95MS and Tu-22M3.

• three Tu-95MS aircraft damaged;
• one Tu-22M3 aircraft damaged.

Furthermore, the images show that another Tu-95MS aircraft likely sustained damage during the attack.

Operation 'Web' and its results

The SBU conducted the 'Web' operation with the goal of striking enemy aviation in Russia. Currently, over 40 aircraft have already been damaged at the air bases, including A-50 models, Tu-95, and Tu-22 M3. The overall losses to the enemy are estimated at over 2 billion dollars.

The operation lasted for more than a year and a half and required complex logistical measures. Initially, FPV drones were illegally delivered to Russia, which were then hidden under the roofs of mobile wooden houses. During the attack, the drones were activated and directed to the targets – strategic bombers at the air bases.
