SBU Special Unit 'Alpha' Celebrates Anniversary: Interesting Facts.
The Ukrainian Special Operations Center 'A' celebrates its 31st birthday. This unit is a key element of the country's security system. 'Alpha' is considered one of the most elite special units, ready to perform tasks in different conditions, on land, in the air, and underwater.

Achievements and Operations of 'Alpha'
An unique achievement of 'Alpha' is the destruction of an enemy helicopter using an FPV drone. Additionally, the fighters successfully shot down two enemy aircraft in Kursk region in 2024. The unit also participated in the successful operation 'Web', which incapacitated a part of the strategic aviation of the Russian Federation and allowed capturing over 100 Russian soldiers simultaneously.
Awards and Future Tasks
For high professionalism and courage, 17 fighters of 'Alpha' were awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine. Another 869 received state awards. The preparation for new operations is ongoing, and the unit continues to recruit new fighters. The center is preparing for future tasks of ensuring national security.
