The US intention to increase drone production
US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegset stated his goal to ensure American dominance in the field of military drones by lifting restrictions on the production of these unmanned vehicles.
“We know why we are here. We were brought to rebuild the army, to respond to modern threats. While enemies were churning out millions of cheap drones, we got bogged down in bureaucracy. But those days are over. In June, President Trump issued a directive for US dominance in the drone industry to strengthen our position”— said the Secretary of Defense.
Hegset plans to increase drone production in the US, equip military units with affordable American UAVs and prepare Americans for combat operations. He urged senior officers to overcome bureaucratic obstacles and ensure US victory.
Recall that yesterday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed issues of support for Ukraine and sanctions against Russia with American senators. Also, President Donald Trump plans to make an 'important statement' regarding Russia this coming Monday, July 14.
By utilizing President Trump's directive, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegset aims to increase drone production in the country to boost its military capacity and competitiveness in the global market.Read also
