It has become known how many Ukrainian defenders automatically acquired the status of combatants.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs reported that more than 2,000 military personnel have already automatically obtained the status of combatants. Thanks to the 'Single Window' service, which operates in just a few minutes, one can obtain an extract from the Unified State Register of War Veterans and Labor Veterans of Ukraine (USRWL), which confirms the status and grants the right to benefits. Previously, to obtain the status of a combatant, it was necessary to collect many documents and go through numerous approvals.
The Ministry noted that thanks to the new service, they achieved an incredible result - more than 2,000 military personnel received the status of combatants without unnecessary procedures, and over 6,000 extracts have been issued through the Center for Administrative Services Provision (CASP). Now, information about participation in combat actions is entered into the USRWL, and the system automatically processes this data and provides the status of a combatant without the involvement of the servicemen.
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs explained that the automatic status of a combatant is also granted to military personnel who have been captured or are missing. Families of these military personnel receive benefits without the need to submit additional applications or contact the relevant authorities.
