It became known how many military personnel did not return from vacation abroad since 2022.
According to the Main Directorate of Military Service and the Deputy General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the Russian invasion, 46 Ukrainian military personnel went abroad on vacation and did not return. This is reported with reference to the response of the Ministry of Defense.
The Main Directorate of Military Service noted that military personnel can go abroad on general grounds, and authorized officials ensure their passage. Also, the military have no time restrictions on leave. To leave, they need to have the permission of the commander of the military unit.
"From 02.24.2022 to 09.30.2024, 46 cases were recorded when military personnel did not return to Ukraine after a vacation abroad. These military personnel are accounted for as having voluntarily left their military units," the response says.
The Ministry of Defense did not report cases of law violations when crossing the state border. However, border guards daily record attempts by military-conscripted men to illegally cross the border at different sections.
It is worth recalling that a member of parliament mentioned the percentage of mobilized personnel reaching the frontline. The Ministry of Defense has tripled the mobilization. The next goal of the Ministry of Defense is the reform of territorial recruitment and social support centers.
The commander of the reconnaissance platoon of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade with the callsign Crimea stated that the military has not yet noticed positive changes on the frontline after the strengthening of mobilization. There was no mass replenishment of personnel.
