As of January 27, 2023, at least 10 sections of power lines have been damaged, severely hampering rail traffic. This type of infrastructure damage is a significant challenge for rail operators during extreme winter weather.
Train No. 127/128 'Zaporizhzhia – Lviv' was directly involved in an incident with a fallen tree, which contributed to delays for other services. The most significant delays have been recorded on trains originating from Odesa. The following services are experiencing the longest delays:
- Train No. 38 'Odesa – Uzhhorod' is delayed by 7 hours and 50 minutes
- Train No. 78 'Odesa – Kovel' — by 6 hours
- Train No. 166 'Odesa – Chernivtsi' — by 5 hours and 55 minutes
- Train No. 12 'Odesa – Lviv' — by 5 hours and 38 minutes
- Train No. 106 'Odesa – Kyiv' — by 5 hours and 7 minutes
The delay situation remains complex, and railway workers are actively working to restore normal operations.

Restoring the normal train schedule is a critical task for railway authorities, as prolonged delays can disrupt travel plans and supply chains across the country.
