Students who refuse to undergo basic military training will be expelled from universities – Ministry of Defense.
Starting in 2025, mandatory basic military training for students of higher educational institutions will begin in Ukraine. Failure to complete the practical training will be grounds for expulsion from educational institutions. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The basic military training program has been developed taking into account the experience of leading European countries such as Poland, Finland, and the Baltic states. It aims to develop military skills and readiness of citizens to defend the state.
“Young men and women aged 18 to 25 can voluntarily join the Defense Forces,” emphasized the Ministry of Defense.
