Attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk Region
According to UATV: On July 18, 2023, Russian forces launched roughly 40 strikes across the Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in one fatality and four injuries. The affected areas included the Nikopol, Synelnykove, Dnipro, and Kryvyi Rih districts, which came under hostile fire.
In the Nikopol district, the following towns were targeted:
- Nikopol
- Pokrovska
- Myrska
- Chervonohryhorivska
- Marhanets community
In the Synelnykove district, shelling hit:
- Vasylkivka community
- Raivka community
- Mezhova community
Within the Dnipro district, private homes in the Slobozhanske and Pidhorodne communities sustained damage. In the Kryvyi Rih district, the city of Kryvyi Rih and the Zelenodolsk community came under fire.
“One person died, four were injured. The enemy launched nearly 40 attacks on four districts of the region using drones, artillery, and aerial bombs,” said Oleksandr Hanzha.
The strikes damaged a lyceum, private residences, and vehicles. “As a result of the enemy attacks, a lyceum, private homes, and a truck were damaged. Additionally, a car and fields of wheat and peas caught fire. Four people were hurt, two of whom were hospitalized. A 70-year-old woman is in critical condition,” he noted.
It was reported that “a private home and an outbuilding were destroyed, while another house, a kindergarten, a car repair shop, an administrative building, garages, and a truck sustained damage. A wheat field also caught fire,” added Oleksandr Hanzha. One man died during a Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih, where “the enemy hit a critical infrastructure facility,” sparking a fire at the site. These events continue to alarm both residents and local authorities.
