The court released the scandalous figure of the UOC MP from house arrest.

The court in Cherkasy released the metropolitan of the UOC MP, Theodosiy, from house arrest. He was charged with inciting inter-religious enmity and denying armed aggression by Russia. The prosecutor requested to extend the restrictions for the cleric, but the court rejected this motion and imposed personal obligations on Theodosiy.
In particular, he must attend court whenever required, notify about changes in his place of residence and work, refrain from communication with witnesses, and keep documents that provide the right to leave Ukraine. If he fails to fulfill these obligations, he faces harsher penalties and fines. The court believes that the risks have decreased, and Theodosiy adhered to the terms of house arrest.
The court hearing on this motion was postponed due to the cleric's deterioration in health. It should be recalled that the Security Service of Ukraine reported suspicion against the metropolitan in February 2023 for violating the equality of citizens. In April 2023, he was announced a renewed suspicion for justifying and denying armed aggression by Russia. Theodosiy was under house arrest, which was extended several times.
