Romania will not send troops to Ukraine: what support Bucharest will provide.
According to ТСН: Romania does not plan to send its troops to Ukraine, but is ready to contribute to strengthening security in the Black Sea.
In a statement by Romanian President Nicolae Ciucă, it was noted:
"Romania has committed to providing not troops, but logistical support to Ukraine, training Ukrainian soldiers in Romania or other European countries in cooperation with the armies of those countries, participation in joint arms programs."
He also reported on Social Media that the country is ready to assist Ukraine and strengthen security in the Black Sea to prevent a new war.
"Peace negotiations have reached a critical phase. Our unity and coordination are more important than ever. All participants firmly support the efforts led by the U.S. Our common goal is to achieve a fair and lasting peace based on respect for international law,"said Nicolae Ciucă.
Foreign troops in Ukraine
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney reported that Ottawa may deploy its army to Ukraine as part of multinational forces and train Ukrainian soldiers, however, this is only possible after a peace agreement is reached. He emphasized that participation in foreign forces will have "a much greater effect than if we acted alone."
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that FNR troops will not be deployed in Ukraine even after a ceasefire is achieved. He emphasized that Berlin will continue to make contributions - political, financial, and military.
Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever stressed that the country is ready to ensure peace after the hostilities by providing aviation and naval capabilities, as well as measures in the field of personnel training.
Statements from representatives of various countries highlight the readiness of the international community to support Ukraine when it comes to peace and stability in the region. And although specific military contingents are not yet planned, countries seek to find common solutions to ensure security and peaceful resolution of the conflict.
