The website of the Swiss Federal Council and other government bodies participating in the Global Peace Summit was attacked by hackers. This was reported by the Swiss Federal Office for Cybersecurity.

One of the organizations affected by the cyberattack was customs. For an hour, the system's operation was disrupted, but it was quickly restored.

Minor power outages occurred as a result of the cyberattacks, but this did not cause any significant damage.

The Federal Office for Cybersecurity confirmed that the attack was a DDoS attack, where computer systems are overloaded with a large number of requests. Nonetheless, they stated that the security of data and systems was not compromised as a result of these attacks.

Let us remind you that the Global Peace Summit organized by Ukraine will take place in Switzerland on June 15-16. Leaders from over 100 countries will participate in the summit. The main goal of the summit is to find ways to achieve sustainable peace in Ukraine and beyond. Russia, as the aggressor country, was not invited to this summit.

Earlier, Switzerland recorded an increase in cyberattacks and disinformation ahead of the peace summit.

It should also be noted that in the joint statement to be released after the summit, there will be no call for the immediate withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine.
