The mysterious drone-missile "Bars" was shown to the public for the first time: Details about the weapon.

According to ТСН: Until now, this weapon was only known from reports and brief mentions by officials. Now Ukrainians can see the mysterious drone-missile "Bars" for themselves.

This unique exhibit has appeared in the Museum of the Russo-Ukrainian War, located within the National Defense University of Ukraine.

"We have hunted this beast for a long time"

The museum reported that it managed to obtain a specimen for the exhibition with the help of a brigade general.

"We have received a unique exhibit – the UAV "BARS". A drone-missile that systematically and effectively destroys enemy rear areas,"

– says the museum's statement.

Technical Specifications and Features

According to the analysis by the Defense Express magazine, "Bars" is a serial product that is actively used against the occupying forces.

Configuration:

• The missile is designed in a mid-wing layout with a wingspan of about 2 meters.

• The compact rocket engine is mounted above the fuselage, making it easier to change engine types from various manufacturers.

• The fuselage is made of composite materials and consists of minimal parts, simplifying assembly and reducing costs.

Combat Characteristics:

• Range: estimated at 700–800 km.

• Warhead: about 100 kg or slightly less.

• Scale: According to information from Defense Express, there have been cases where up to 100 "Bars" were launched against the enemy simultaneously.

Why “drone-missile”?

Officially, the product is referred to as a “rocket-drone,” but experts explain this with bureaucratic nuances. Classifying the weapon as an unmanned aircraft allows for a significantly simpler and faster introduction to operations in the armed forces.

The developer of "Bars" is a private company whose name is not disclosed for security reasons.

It is worth noting that the then Minister of Strategic Industry, Herman Smetanin, reported on the existence of "Bars" for the first time in April of this year, comparing it to other Ukrainian developments – "Hell", "Paljanytsa", and "Ruta".

It should also be noted that the Air Force has shown for the first time how the latest Ukrainian weapon is manufactured. Journalists were taken to a secret facility in Ukraine where the guided missile "Flamingo" is produced.

With the emergence of the drone-missile "Bars", the Ukrainian army has gained another powerful tool in the fight against the aggressor. With unique properties and combat capabilities, this exhibit showcases Ukraine's technological advancement in the field of military developments.
