F-16 Crash: Arestovych Commented on Oleshchuk's Resignation and Bezuhla's Role.
Oleshchuk Dismissed from Position of Air Force Commander
Former advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksii Arestovych expressed his opinion on the resignation of Mykola Oleshchuk from the position of Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the role of deputy Maryana Bezuhla.
As "Khvylia" reports, he announced this on air with political scientist Yurii Romanenko.
It should be noted that Ukraine, on August 26, the day of massive enemy shelling, lost an F-16 fighter jet and one of Ukraine's best pilots - Oleksii Mesya. Yesterday, Bezuhla posted another message in which she reproached the Air Force commander for "silence." She also stated that overall this is supposedly already "at least the third case" when Ukrainian planes are shot down by their own air defense (AD). Mykola Oleshchuk responded to this, commenting on the F-16 crash and addressing Bezuhla's accusations. Later in the evening, it became known that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed the commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces.
Commenting on this situation, Romanenko noted that Oleshchuk was dismissed for the F-16 incident, not for the conflict with Bezuhla.
I think this happened because the Americans have already shown interest in the F-16, who said they would create a commission to investigate what happened. This means that there was some misunderstanding between the AD and the AF. Obviously, some organizational decision must be made. Because if we continue to shoot down our F-16s with Patriots, of which we have few, nothing good will come of it - he emphasized.
Arestovych agreed with this opinion, noting that "it's embarrassing to admit that we shot down an American plane, which had just been put into service, with the American air defense system. One of the best pilots, who was an ambassador to get these planes into service, died.
He noted that initially, the information was hidden, then lies were told, and when Bezuhla wrote the post, they began to communicate.
Oleshchuk (or on his behalf) wrote in an absolutely boorish manner that, firstly, she was lying, that they were communicating, that no one had spoken with Maryana, that she would apologize to the entire army in court, and so on. All this tedious, unnecessary, absolutely illiterate, unprofessional pathos spilled onto the pages and ended with dismissal almost without explanations... Look at how they communicate, and you will understand how they manage the war on the material level. This is one-on-one - said the former adviser to the OP.
Arestovych paid special attention to Maryana Bezuhla, known for her criticism of the military leadership. He highly appreciated her role in controlling the military leadership.
Bezuhla needs a monument. She puts in place the generals who have grown fat on the war, to the last arbitrariness, and at least speaks out, pointing to army problems that are screaming in nature and covered by a circle of mutual consent. You idiots, you should pray for Maryana. And the fact that you call her "Crazy Bezuhla" - only such a one will manage to deal with them, at least somehow signify the problem. They will devour normal ones and not choke. Pray for Maryana. She may be wrong three times, but the very fact that she speaks about it - that's the pike, so that the carp do not gobble up. Otherwise, it's impossible here, there is practically no control over them. Only she, bringing everything into the public domain... They fear public statements; she controls all this - he added.
Recall that the Hero of Ukraine became the head of the Air Forces of the AFU.
