Natural Disaster in Hong Kong and Taiwan

According to The Sun: A serious natural disaster has occurred in Hong Kong: the powerful hurricane 'Super Typhoon Ragasa', known as the 'King of Storms', has struck the city. The moment when a wall of water broke into the hotel lobby was captured on video.

More than two million people have been evacuated in China and Hong Kong as South Asia braces for further devastation. In Taiwan, at least 17 people have died due to hurricane-force winds of up to 240 km/h.

The recorded footage shows a wall of water smashing through the glass doors of the Fullerton Ocean Park hotel as terrified guests and staff witness the disaster.

Situation in Hong Kong and Taiwan

The hotel, located on Ocean Drive, is in a risk zone. Many flights have been cancelled, and entire communities are under quarantine due to the destructive winds.

Several disappearances have also occurred in Taiwan: 129 people are missing after the city of Guangfu was flooded due to a breach of a barrier lake on Tuesday. Many have died, including 14 in Hualien County.

“Super Typhoon Ragasa is the most powerful storm of 2025,” meteorologists state.

According to radio reports, as of 9 a.m., 33 injuries have been recorded in Hong Kong, with wind gusts reaching 137 mph. The meteorological office warns that the swell could reach 5 meters.

Hundreds of flights have been cancelled, and many schools have suspended classes in several cities in China. While the weather in Hong Kong has temporarily improved, the threat still lingers.

Forecast and Further Actions

Authorities are implementing precautions as 'Super Typhoon Ragasa' continues to threaten southern China. Residents are urged to stay indoors due to the risk of landslides and flooding.

Currently, nearly 1.9 million people have been evacuated in Guangdong, and typhoon winds may persist throughout the day.
