Odesa hooligan fled from the police and caused an accident: what punishment awaits him
A resident of Odesa region started a quarrel with villagers and wanted to provoke a fight, but people called the police. Seeing law enforcement, the man tried to escape in his car but crashed into a police vehicle and was detained.

This was reported by the National Police of Ukraine.

Details of the case

A 44-year-old man in Bilyaivka went to his acquaintance and provoked a conflict with her. When passers-by, who knew the woman, intervened on her behalf, he started to throw punches at them.

Upon the arrival of the police, the offender, in order to avoid responsibility, got into his car and tried to flee. However, he accidentally collided with a police vehicle. The man was without documents and appeared to be intoxicated, but he refused to undergo examination for the state of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxication.

What punishment awaits

Several administrative protocols were drawn up against the individual. In particular for:

  • part 3 of article 130 (refusal of a person driving a vehicle to undergo examination in accordance with the established procedure for the state of alcohol, drugs, or other intoxication or regarding the use of medicinal preparations that reduce attention and reaction speed);
  • part 5 of article 126 (driving a vehicle by a person who does not have the right to drive such a vehicle, repeatedly within a year);
  • article 124 (violation of traffic rules that caused damage to a vehicle);
  • part 1 of article 122-2 (failure of drivers to comply with the police officer's requirements to stop the vehicle);
  • article 173 (hooliganism);
  • article 185 (gross disobedience to a lawful order or request of a police officer in the performance of his duties).

For his actions, the man could receive a fine of up to 51 thousand hryvnias, along with the deprivation of driving rights for 10 years and confiscation of the vehicle.

We remind you that recently we wrote about a military man who drove with forged papers. We also reported that the traffic scheme in Odesa will be changed.

The incident that took place in the Odesa region indicates the inadequate behavior of a man who tried to avoid responsibility for his actions but ended up deepening his problems. In trying to escape, he violated several laws and now may lose his driving rights for a long time, pay a large fine, and lose his car.
