Tragedy in Odesa Region: Man Killed Woman and Tried to Cover Up the Crime, Passing it Off as a Traffic Accident.

The police in Odesa region reported that a man is suspected of beating a woman to death. According to the investigation, he claimed that the woman was hit by a car and called an ambulance. The incident occurred in the Velykodolynska territorial community. The man who contacted the police reported that the hit-and-run driver struck his cohabitant.
The applicant explained to law enforcement that he initially did not confess to everything due to his criminal record.
The woman's body has been sent for forensic examination to determine the cause of death. Experts found that she died from internal organ injuries not caused by an accident.
According to the police, on the day the cohabiting couple was returning home in a state of intoxication, a quarrel broke out between them due to jealousy. The man beat the woman before she fell and then continued to kick her.
Law enforcement reported that the man has been charged under part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. For this crime, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
Investigators requested the court to impose a preventive measure in the form of detention.
