U.S. President Donald Trump announced that OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank are investing $500 billion in the development of artificial intelligence technologies in the USA.

According to CNN, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, SoftBank CEO Masayoshi Son, and Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison, along with Donald Trump and other tech company leaders, visited the White House to announce significant private investments in the development of artificial intelligence infrastructure in the USA.

The U.S. President referred to the new joint venture of OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle called Stargate. Each company will initially invest $100 billion, and the total investment could rise to $500 billion in the coming years.

According to Trump, this project is the largest infrastructure project in the history of artificial intelligence. He also added that this project will create 100,000 jobs in the USA.

«I am convinced that this will be the most important project of our Time. And we could not implement it without your support, Mr. President», stated OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

It is also worth noting that the U.S. President repealed an order issued by former President Joe Biden in 2023 that called for monitoring and regulating the risks of artificial intelligence. Overall, Trump revoked 78 orders issued during Biden's presidency.

Recall that Donald Trump signed an order stating that children born to illegal immigrants would no longer be considered citizens of the United States. Following this, the attorneys general of 22 states filed a lawsuit against President Trump to block the executive order denying recognition of the children of illegal immigrants as U.S. citizens.
