Zelensky to put peace plan to referendum: what to discuss with Trump.
According to ТСН: US President Donald Trump expressed hope for productive negotiations with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which will take place this Sunday. He also confirmed his intention to establish direct contact with Vladimir Putin.
"I think everything will be fine with him. I think everything will be fine with [Vladimir] Putin," Trump noted.
The US President added that he hopes to have a conversation with the Russian leader "soon, whenever he wants".
Negotiations on the peace plan
Zelensky plans to meet with Trump soon. The leaders will discuss the peace plan and security guarantees for Ukraine, however, the issue of territories remains too complex.
The President of Ukraine noted that in the event of Russia agreeing to a ceasefire for at least 60 days, he is ready to put the corresponding peace plan to a nationwide referendum.
Moreover, Zelensky believes that Donald Trump's personal visit to Ukraine could be a significant argument in support of his peace plan.
These negotiations between the US and Ukraine are an important step towards stability in the region. Hopes for the peace process and possible compromises on territorial issues could significantly change the situation in Ukraine. We are following the further developments.
