Trump to receive a luxury plane worth nearly $400 million as a gift? Qatar clarifies the situation.

Qatar does not plan to gift a plane to Trump
The Embassy of Qatar in the USA denied the information regarding the royal family of this country preparing to transfer a luxury plane to the ownership of President Donald Trump's administration in the coming days. This was stated by the press attaché of the embassy, Ali Al-Ansari, who described the information as 'inaccurate'.
According to the official, the question of the possibility of using the plane as Air Force One is being discussed between the Qatari Ministry of Defense and its American counterpart, but no decision has been made yet due to checks by the legal departments. U.S. Democratic Party Congressman Ritchie Torres called for an investigation and recommendations to avoid situations in the future when foreign gifts become the property of presidents.
Trump had positive relations with Qatar, which reflects the cooperation between the countries in the field of defense and the purchase of American planes. However, Qatar itself planned to gift the USA a Boeing 747-8, which was to be used as Air Force One only until the end of Trump's presidential term.
It is expected that the plane will be used until the end of Trump's second term and then handed over to the fund of the future presidential library. In this way, Qatar emphasized its partnership with the USA, but with the refusal to transfer the plane, the situation may change.
