Trump reviews Musk's department decisions despite their 'effectiveness'.
U.S. President Donald Trump is considering revisiting the decisions of the Department of Government Efficiency, which belongs to Elon Musk. He also praised the department's activities, noting that they saved $150 billion.
Earlier, Trump stated that he simply likes Musk, although he does not need him. He also mentioned that he does not need the Tesla he acquired, but allows his employees to drive it.
Recently, Elon Musk announced his intention to resign as head of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency. His term ends in May 2025, and it is currently unclear whether it will be extended.
There is information that Musk demanded weekly reports from federal agency employees and threatened them with dismissal for non-compliance.
Musk is tired of attacks from left-wing political forces and considers them unethical and hostile. However, he is convinced that his departure will not weaken the activities of the Department of Government Efficiency.
Elon Musk's wealth has fallen below $300 billion, which is a result of Trump's new tariff measures. According to Bloomberg, Musk's losses amount to $134.7 billion since the beginning of 2025.
