U.S. President Donald Trump has agreed to liquidate the Department of Education, marking a historic step. He has initiated a process that has been in the works for 45 years. During his election campaign, Trump promised to stop the work of this department.

Trump explains his actions by stating that he wants to transfer education from the federal level to the states. He believes that states should manage education, rather than bureaucrats working in Washington. It's worth noting that the Department of Education has already faced significant reductions in staff and budget in the past.
At the beginning of his presidency, Trump announced his intention to reform the U.S. government. Among other things, he created the Department of Government Efficiency, which is headed by the well-known billionaire Elon Musk.
