Trump stated that Russia could have captured Kyiv in 4 hours: what went wrong.
US leader Donald Trump expressed the opinion that Russian troops could have quickly captured Kyiv in the event of an invasion. He believes that the Russian general made a mistake by choosing the route through agricultural fields instead of the highway. Such statements were made by Trump during a press conference on Monday.
“You know, they would have been in Kyiv in four hours if they had taken the highway. But the Russian general decided to go through the fields instead,” said Trump.
Trump also suggested that this general may no longer exist due to his choice of route. He also stated that he expects a meeting between Putin and Zelensky soon, where he plans to discuss important issues with the Russian leader.
In his characteristic manner of speaking, Trump emphasized the possible consequences of careless planning by the Russian command and noted the importance of diplomatic negotiations in the future.
