Trump commented on the meeting between Vitkoff and Putin and criticized journalists.
Trump denies that his ambassador waited for Putin for 9 hours
US President Donald Trump rejects the information that his ambassador Steve Vitkoff waited for nine hours for a meeting with Putin. He stated this on the social network Truth Social, calling the story fake news, and added that such media are unworthy of praise as they cannot convey truthful information.
Trump also noted that the meeting with Putin was productive, and his special envoy had several other meetings with Russian representatives.
Earlier, Sky News reported that Vitkoff waited about 8 hours in Moscow to meet with Putin.
It is worth mentioning that Trump had previously promised to end the war in Ukraine within 24 hours. His special envoy Keith Kellogg also commented on this promise, stating that a specific timeline had not been set, but dialogue between both parties is key to achieving results.
