Temporary Tram Service Changes in Odesa

According to Novyny.live: Several tram lines in Odesa are undergoing temporary adjustments because of ongoing road construction and maintenance work. According to local transport authorities, Tram No. 1 now only runs as far as 28th Brigade Street, while Tram No. 7 operates from Starosinnaya Square to the same street. Meanwhile, service on Trams No. 10 and No. 13 has been suspended for the time being.

Roadwork and a Possible Fare Increase

Starting June 20, repair work is scheduled along Prince Volodymyr the Great Avenue, specifically on sections between Kishinevskaya Street and David Oistrakh Street. This is expected to cause additional inconvenience for public transit users.

In addition, there is a possibility that minibus fares in Odesa could rise to 25 hryvnias. The current fare of 20 hryvnias has been in effect since late 2024. However, as of June 2026, tram and trolleybus fares in the city remain unchanged.

These route changes, roadwork, and the potential fare hike could significantly impact daily commutes for both residents and visitors. It is important to stay updated on schedule and route changes to avoid travel disruptions.

Given that such shifts in transport infrastructure can cause notable difficulties for passengers, city authorities are likely to make every effort to keep the public informed about updated schedules and routes. The possible fare increase may also spark discussion among locals, especially considering the broader economic situation in the country.
