A third of the spare parts for vehicles provided by Western partners to the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already produced in Ukraine.
Ukrainian private enterprises produce 30% of spare parts for military vehicles
The Armed Forces of Ukraine receive spare parts for their military vehicles from partners in NATO countries. However, about 30% of these spare parts are produced by private Ukrainian enterprises, according to the command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
These spare parts cost two to three times less than Western analogues and withstand operation on frontline roads for 2-3 thousand kilometers more than parts produced by large automotive companies.
Ukraine has already established the production of various spare parts for vehicles needed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. For example, armored glass, brake pads, discs, filters, hoses, and much more are produced in the country.
Additionally, Ukraine plans to increase the production of weapons next year, including drones and ballistic missiles.
The government will allocate more funds for the purchase of weapons and military equipment
The draft state budget for next year includes an increase in spending on the purchase of weapons and military equipment. The government plans to allocate 65% more funds for this purpose, amounting to over 300 billion hryvnias or 7 billion dollars.
Ukraine significantly increased weapon production, which was unthinkable in 2022. In 2023, production tripled, and in the first eight months of the current year, production doubled.
