Authorized Procurement Officers Will Appear in the Armed Forces of Ukraine: Umierov Talked About Their Functions.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine Will Have Procurement Authorized Officers
To ensure quick and transparent procurement for military units, Minister of Defense Rustem Umierov signed an order to appoint procurement authorized officers in each brigade. He announced this on his Facebook page.
'Thanks to this, procurement for our units will be conducted quickly, transparently, and taking into account the real needs of the soldiers,' Umierov noted.
The authorized officers will be tasked with planning and organizing procurements, preparing tender documentation, analyzing the market, finding suppliers, selecting and evaluating proposals. This will help avoid conflicts of interest and separate the combat duties of the military from procurement-related tasks.
In December 2024, the recipients of deferrals will be announced.
