The command of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine 'Charter' has received a new leader – Daniel Kitone, or 'Cuba,' as he has already been nicknamed. This was reported on the brigade's Facebook page on Tuesday, August 19.
''I recognize the responsibility laid upon me. I promise to be faithful to the oath, to preserve the combat traditions, to care for the personnel, and to multiply the glory of our unit,' – said 'Cuba' in his first speech. During the ceremonial event, the battle flag of the brigade was handed over to the new commander by Colonel Maksym Holubko, known by the call sign 'Altaír.'Daniel Kitone is a soldier who was born in Simferopol but mainly lived in Kharkiv. After the beginning of the conflict with Russia, he joined the 127th Separate Brigade of Territorial Defense of Ukraine and actively participated in defensive actions. His military service experience and work in various units allowed him to obtain the position of commander of the 13th NGU Brigade 'Charter.'In the context of changes in the command of military units, it is important to note that qualified and experienced leaders can solve important tasks and preserve combat traditions in the conditions of military conflicts. The Ukrainian army continues to be filled with highly qualified specialists with significant experience in the field of defense.
