Britain responded to Trump’s criticism of Europe regarding the war in Ukraine: what was said in London

According to ТСН: The British government responded on Tuesday to the statements of US President Donald Trump, who noted that European leaders "talk too much" about the military conflict between Russia and Ukraine and "do nothing to resolve it."

The spokesperson for Prime Minister Keir Starmer refuted these statements in comments to journalists, stating:

"You have seen how many countries are involved in discussions of a resolute coalition. You also see the work that the UK has done in leading the sanctions response, including against the shadow fleet."

He also emphasized that London actively supports the American "peace plan" for Ukraine and highly values the efforts of the US aimed at achieving a just peace.

The spokesperson added that no one is more interested in achieving peace than Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, which is why Britain continues to play an important role in the international support of Kyiv.

Earlier, Trump noted that both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian dictator Putin "find it hard to make a deal" as "they hate each other very much."

It was also reported that Trump’s diplomatic efforts on an international level have been questioned due to a number of renewed conflicts in the regions where he claimed his influence as a mediator.

This discussion underscores the importance of international efforts in resolving the conflict in Ukraine and demonstrates that the UK remains an active participant in this process. London's position regarding a peaceful settlement will undoubtedly influence the further dynamics of the situation, considering the ongoing statements and declarations from other countries.
