On the night of Saturday, March 29, a fatal confrontation occurred in the center of Pardubice, Czech Republic, as a result of which a citizen of Ukraine was killed. According to Czech media, the incident took place around three o'clock in the morning on Míru Street. Preliminary reports indicate that a fight broke out between several people, resulting in one man being killed. The police arrived at the scene quickly, but they were unable to assist the victim, as his injuries were fatal. Law enforcement has detained two foreigners suspected of inflicting fatal bodily harm. If convicted, they face up to ten years in prison. Investigators are working to review recordings from city surveillance cameras to clarify the details of the incident.

The deceased man, named Ivan Nymets, was originally from the village of Kostrina in the Uzhhorod district. According to unofficial information, he witnessed a conflict between a young couple and decided to intervene on behalf of the girl. As a result of a verbal altercation, one of the men picked up a heavy object and struck Ivan on the head. The man served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine for two years, had concussions, and was later discharged from military service. The family of the deceased issued a statement requesting assistance to raise money for the transportation of the body to Ukraine.
