Massive terrorist attack by Russia on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine

It is reminded that on the night of August 26 to 27, the Russian Federation carried out another massive attack on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine. The occupiers attacked energy and gas transportation facilities in six regions, including Sumy, Poltava, Donetsk, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia.

  • Around one o'clock in the morning, as a result of a drone strike, equipment was damaged at one of the key substations in Sumy, leading to the disconnection of electricity supply to a significant part of the city and industrial consumers.
  • In Poltava, the enemy deliberately struck gas transportation infrastructure facilities, causing serious damage to them.
  • The Russian Federation struck the enrichment plant of DTEK in Donetsk. As a result, the building was destroyed, and equipment was severely damaged.

Meanwhile, the 1281st day of Russia's large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine continues. Yesterday, the enemy carried out two missile strikes and 64 aviation strikes, using two missiles and dropping 109 guided aerial bombs. In addition, 4,625 shellings were conducted, including 21 from multiple launch rocket systems, and 3,891 kamikaze drones were used. The aggressor carried out airstrikes, including on the settlements of Stara Huta in Sumy; Bilohir'ya and Preobrazhenka in Zaporizhzhia; Antonivka in the Kherson region.

This incident in Chernihiv and new attacks across the country raise questions about the safety of civil objects and the population. The consequences of the Russian aggression continue to be felt, creating serious threats to our economy and citizens. The situation remains complex, and security measures are becoming increasingly relevant in the context of rising tension.
