Major fires continue in two regions of Ukraine: details from the SES.
In the village of Verguny in the Cherkasy region and near the village of Mala Pereshchepyna in the Poltava region, the liquidation of forest fires continues. This is reported by the State Emergency Service.
Fire in the Cherkasy region
On September 15 at 12:40, a report was received about a forest litter fire in the village of Verguny. The fire spread quickly due to strong gusts of wind.
There are 14 units of equipment and about fifty rescuers on site. The fire was extinguished over an area of about 20 hectares. According to the report, the cause of the fire was careless handling of fire.
Six people sought help. The fire extinguishing continues.
Fire in the Poltava region
In the Poltava region, rescuers are working on extinguishing a large forest fire covering an area of about 100 hectares. The fire broke out near the village of Mala Pereshchepyna in the Poltava district.
At 23:37, rescuers and forestry workers continue to work at the fire site.
Recall that on September 15 in Kharkiv, the occupiers shelled a multi-storey building with guided air bombs. As a result, one woman died.
