Mandatory maintenance of gas networks from 2025: how much residents will pay
In 2025, technical maintenance of gas pipelines must be carried out in multi-apartment buildings with shared ownership. Specialists discovered several gas leaks in one building, posing a threat to the lives and health of citizens.
This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv branch of 'Gazmerezhi' on Facebook.

What you need to know about the maintenance of gas networks

The branch noted that mandatory technical maintenance of gas networks in multi-storey buildings in Ukraine includes:

  • checking the condition of gas networks;
  • detection and elimination of leaks;
  • checking chimneys and ventilation ducts.

Regular technical maintenance of networks is intended to prevent accidents and ensure stable gas supply. Without appropriate professional oversight, the risks of dangerous situations increase. Technical maintenance helps to avoid serious threats to the lives and health of residents through comprehensive inspections of gas networks (tightness checks, density testing, and elimination of possible gas leaks).

When to conduct inspection and what is the payment

According to specialists, the frequency of maintenance work depends on the age of the gas networks in the building:

  • up to 25 years - maintenance every five years.
  • over 25 years - maintenance every three years.

Residents of buildings that have undergone technical maintenance of shared gas pipelines will receive a bill. The cost of the service can range from 100 to 1000 hryvnias. Payment must be made to the specified bank details at 'Ukrgasbank'.

Earlier, we wrote that consumers who doubt the quality of the gas can write a statement to the gas transmission operator. It is also known who should pay for the meter verification, and in the absence of verification, the readings will be considered invalid.

Mandatory technical maintenance of gas networks in multi-apartment buildings with shared ownership has become necessary to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of residents. Regular maintenance helps to avoid danger and maintain stable gas supply.
