Deadly Strike in Vyshneve
According to Espreso.tv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that at least seven people lost their lives following a Russian attack on an ammunition storage facility in the town of Vyshneve. The incident, which occurred on July 9, also resulted in the destruction of nearly one hundred private homes. The depot belonged to a company under the state-owned defense conglomerate 'Ukroboronprom'.
Kyiv Under Fire
Reports indicate that Russia also launched an assault on Kyiv during the night of July 6. Notably, for the first time, Ukrainian air defenses failed to intercept any of the 'Iskander' or 'Zircon' ballistic missiles used in the attack. Reflecting on the tragedy in Vyshneve, the President stated:
“An absolutely horrific situation.” — Volodymyr Zelenskyy
He further emphasized that 'those responsible will face criminal prosecution.' A criminal investigation into the incident is currently underway.
This latest event underscores the severe reality of the ongoing conflict and its devastating toll on civilian life. Vyshneve, like many other Ukrainian towns, continues to suffer the destructive consequences of the war, raising serious concerns about public safety.
