According to ТСН: In Kyiv, police detained a man who created a threat to the life of a law enforcement officer during a check of a Mitsubishi vehicle and tried to escape responsibility.
Details of the incident
According to the police, during their service, officers stopped the driver for a check. Suddenly, the driver began to move the vehicle towards the police officer and then fled the scene.
“During the pursuit, the police found the vehicle on one of the streets of the Dnipro district of Kyiv,”- the message says.
The driver did not respond to the legal demands of the law enforcement officers and locked himself in the car. The police had to forcibly open the doors, breaking the window. After that, the man was detained.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 342 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - resisting a law enforcement officer. The circumstances of the event are being clarified.
Earlier it was reported that in Transcarpathia a man beat his wife and attacked police officers.
“A 19-year-old boy reported that his father was arguing with his mother and using physical violence against her. During the call, screams could be heard in the background,”- the message says.
The police arrived at the scene. At first, the offender tried to avoid communication with the law enforcement officers, but later began to act aggressively. He attacked his wife, son, and police officers, so the latter had to use force.
These cases highlight the difficulties that law enforcement officers face in Ukraine. Unpredictable situations can threaten not only their lives but also the safety of other citizens. It is important that such incidents do not go unnoticed, as they require federal and social solutions to improve safety in society.
