Search and Rescue Operations End in Kyiv

According to Espreso.tv: Emergency crews have finished their search and rescue efforts across 29 sites in Kyiv following a large-scale attack that occurred on the night of June 2. The operation focused on clearing debris and locating victims after Russia launched a combined missile and drone assault. According to official reports, Russian forces fired 73 missiles, 41 of which were ballistic, causing extensive damage in the capital and beyond.

While the primary target was Kyiv, other regions across Ukraine—including Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Poltava—also came under fire. Among the weapons used in the assault were Zircon hypersonic missiles.

Pavlo Petrov, a spokesperson for the emergency services, confirmed: 'The search and rescue operations were completed yesterday.'

He further emphasized that 'this was a terrorist attack aimed at civilian buildings and infrastructure.'

Rescue teams had been working continuously since the initial strike, focusing on finding survivors and mitigating the damage. Wrapping up these operations marks a critical step toward restoring normalcy in the affected cities.

Urgent Call for International Support

The attack has once again highlighted the vulnerability of Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure and the pressing need for global assistance in countering Russian aggression. With the search and rescue phase now over, the next major challenge will be rebuilding damaged facilities and supporting displaced communities—a task that will require coordinated efforts from both national authorities and international partners.
