Explosions Heard in Krasnodar Krai Due to Drone Attack.
On the evening of March 16, Krasnodar Krai experienced a series of explosions caused by a massive drone attack. This led to the activation of air defense systems, Russian sources report.
Residents of the city and the Azov Sea coastline reported explosions. According to Russian resources, 'several aerial targets have been shot down', but authorities have not yet commented on the consequences of the attack.
Social media users also speculate that the primary target of the attack could have been a military airfield in the area.
It is worth noting that on the night of March 14, an oil refinery in Tuapse was also attacked, and the fire there has been ongoing for more than a day. According to the Sentinel EO Hub Browser service, the fire has not diminished since the moment of the attack. A gasoline tank caught fire, and the area of the fire reached one thousand square meters, reported Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratiev.
On the night of March 15, there was also an attack by unidentified drones on Volgograd. The oil refinery was also affected and a fire broke out. The probable target of the attack is the oil refinery located near the 'Sarepta' station. Videos of explosions and fires have spread on social media. Some witnesses noted that as a result of drone fragment falls, the grass caught fire.
