Russia Again Threatens Nuclear Weapons: What NATO Responds.
According to ТСН: The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergey Ryabkov, stated that the threat of nuclear conflict with the United States remains relevant, emphasizing the importance of 'truly negotiating' with the Americans.
He expressed this opinion in an interview with the 'Russia-1' television channel. Ryabkov noted that while the likelihood of a nuclear confrontation is not high, he does not want to underestimate this danger:
'I would not exaggerate the danger of us finding ourselves once again on the brink of this nuclear abyss, but in order to move further away from this edge, significant efforts are needed.'
Moreover, he placed the responsibility for the nuclear threat on the United States, adding that there have been no cardinal changes in strategic stability issues, despite Russian attempts to use all possible channels to send signals of readiness to reach agreements on nuclear weapons.
The Kremlin traditionally uses nuclear threats as a pressure tool against the United States and the international community during important negotiations, especially those concerning the end of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
It is also worth noting that recently President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin announced the enhancement of the Russian nuclear arsenal.
On Thursday, December 25, NATO deployed its fighters to monitor and escort Russian strategic nuclear bombers Tu-95MS, which conducted a long flight over neutral waters near the northern territories of Britain and Norway.
Information about the progress of disarmament negotiations remains in the spotlight, as many countries are watching the situation's development. The nuclear threat raises issues of international security, and conducting joint military maneuvers and air operations only highlights the tensions in relations between key states. These events demonstrate that issues of strategic stability require serious efforts to achieve peaceful solutions.
